Snapshot of the Activities

The following events throw highlights on the activities conducted for Mentee Institutions:

i) Orientation to Mentees:-

     On 10.2.2020, a meeting was arranged for the mentee institutions under UGC Paramarsh scheme on “NAAC Accreditation Framework and Criterionwise Data Analysis”. Dr.R.SudhaPeriathai, IQAC Co-ordinator welcomed the gathering. Dr.T.Palaneeswari, Principal delivered the Presidential address. Dr.K.Rajeswari, IQAC Ambassador gave a presentation on “NAAC Accreditation Framework”. Mrs.S.Sathya, IQAC Advisor gave an introductory note. She insisted the mentee institutions to form an IQAC which constitutes co-ordinator and members. The members of IQAC presented the criterion wise data analysis. The queries of the participants from the mentee institutions were clarified by the IQAC team. 

ii) A Visit to Mentee Institutions:-

     Under UGC Paramarsh, Accreditation Ambassador Dr.K.Rajeswari along with the IQAC members paid a visit to the mentee institutions and gave a presentation  on  “Orientation on Accreditation Process” as per the following schedule:

14.2.2020- Madurai Kamaraj University Constituent Model Arts and Science College, Thirumangalam.

• Dr. K. Rajeswari, Accreditation Ambassador, The Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women, Sivakasi addressed the faculty on the topic “Accreditation and Assessment – An Overview”. She presented the procedure for the accreditationprocess in detail.
• Mrs. S. Sathya, IQAC Advisor, The Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women, Sivakasi delivered a talk on the topic “Functional IQAC and Requirement for NAAC”. She eloborated on the constitution of IQAC, its functions and the requirements for NAAC very effectively. Dr. R. SudhaPeriathai, IQAC Co-ordinator, The Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women, Sivakasi addressed on the topic “Criterionwise Data Analysis”.  She explained the data required in each criterion and its format, files to be maintained in detail.

26.2.2020- Madurai Kamaraj University Constituent College, Vedachendur.

• Dr.K.Rajeswari, Accreditation Ambassador, The Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women, Sivakasi was the resource person and she gave a lively presentation on the topic “Accreditation and Assessment – An Overview”. Dr.D. Rajamani, Mrs.R.Vijayapriya and Dr.B.Sivapriya, IQAC members, The Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women, Sivakasi gave an elaborate talk on “Criterion wise Data Analysis and Requirements”

28.2.2020- Pannaikadu VeerammalParamasivam College, Dindigul.

• Dr. K. Rajeswari addressed on “NAAC Accreditation & Assessment- An Overview” and provided a platform to the mentee institution about NAAC.Dr. A. Amutha presented the requirements for Criterion I and Criterion IV. Dr. S. Shailaja highlighted the key indicators of Criterion II, Criterion V and Criterion VII. Dr. K.J. Sunmista focused on the metric measures involved in Criterion III and Criterion VI. 37 staff members of PVP college actively participated in the programme.

7.3.2020- S.M.S.College of Arts and Science, Sivakasi.

• Dr. K. Rajeswari addressed on “NAAC Accreditation & Assessment- An Overview”. Dr. S. PethanachiSelvam, presented the requirements for  Criterion I and Criterion II.  Dr. C. Devi ArockiaVanitha highlighted the key indicators of Criterion III and Criterion VII. Dr. A. Mydeen Bibi focused on the metric measures involved in Criterion IV, Criterion V and Criterion VI. 66 staff members of S.M.S. College of Arts and Science, Sivakasi actively participated in the programme.

iii) A Series of Webinars organized:

     A series of webinars were organized for Mentee institutions under UGC PARAMARSH on “SSR Preparation” from 25.5.2020 to 29.5.2020 at 11.00 a.m.

iv) Conduct of an Online Faculty Development Programme:-

A Faculty Development Programme (Online) was conducted on “NAAC Accreditation Process: Dos and Don’ts” for the faculty members of the host institution and faculty members of the Mentee institutions on 29.5.2020 at 6.30p.m. Dr.N.Priya, Assistant Advisor, National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore was the resource person.

By engaging the mentee institutions in various activities, the college facilitates and guides the mentee institution in its operations with the central objective of upgrading the administrative and academic performances and ensures that the mentee institution gets accreditated.

(v) A three day Webinar for the Mentee Institution - S.M.S. College of Arts and Science, Sivakasi under UGC PARAMARSH on “A GATE WAY TO THE PREPARATION OF SELF STUDY REPORT”on 4.6.2021, 7.6.2021 & 8.6.2021.

Faculty members from three Mentee Colleges - Sri Bala Krishna College of Arts & Science, Chattarpatti, Government Arts & Science College, Thirumangalam and PannaikaduVeerammalParamasivam College, Dindigul have participated in the first day of the workshop.The faculty of mentee institutions were separated into two groups and they visited the departments regarding the conduct of different activities such as seminars, conferences, and workshops, maintenance of records and files for all activities in the department.

In the Second day of the workshop, three Mentee Institutions - LathaMathavan Arts & Science College, Madurai, Government Arts & Science College, Vedasandur and S.M.S College of Arts and Science, Sivakasi participated.The faculty of mentee institutions were separated into two groups and they visited the departments regarding the conduct of different activities such as seminars, conferences, and workshops, maintenance of records and files for all activities in the department.

(Viii) 18.09.2021: Workshop cum Training programme on “Learning Outcomes Based on Curriculum Framework”.

A Workshop cum Training programme on “Learning Outcomes Based on Curriculum Framework” was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell in Joint venture with Curriculum Design and Development Cell for the faculty members of mentee institutions and parent institution on 18.09.2021 at Conference Hall.
The Objectives of the Workshop are

• To equip the teachers with Outcome Based Curriculum frame work
• To strengthen the teachers in Course Outcome formation CO - PO mapping
• To prepare and frame the questions under OBE
