Objectives

• To made the Youth to be aware about the HIV infection and AIDS.
• To render the service of volunteers to disseminate varied aspects of HIV / AIDS.
• To produce healthy and creative youth through health awareness programme and Personality development programme.
• To sublimate the vibrant energy of youth into creative activities, dynamic Leadership beyond imparting knowledge HIV / AIDS

ACTIVITIES (2024-2025)

Guest lecture on the “Global Efforts and Challenges in the Fight against HIV/AIDS” for RRC volunteers on 22. 07.2024 Resource Person: Mr. M. Murugesan, MSW, M.Sc. (Psy), ICTC Counsellor GH, Sivakasi	Guest lecture on “Strategies for Integrating Personal Hygiene and Health” for RRC volunteers on 06. 08.2024 Resource person: Ms.N. Kaliswari, Supervisor, Swachh Bharat Mission, Municipal Corporation, Sivakasi.
RRC volunteers participated in “Exposure visit to Government Hospital”, Sivakasi on 23.08.2024.

ACTIVITIES (2023-2024)

A Guest lecture on “Raising awareness of HIV and AIDS among younger generation” on 25. 07. 2023. Resource Person:  Mr. M. Murugesan, MSW, M.Sc. (Psy), ICTC Counsellor GH, Sivakasi.  Participants:  42 RRC students, Venue:  Room No. 11	Red Ribbon Club of our college has organized a visit to Government Hospital, Sivakasi, for 47 RRC volunteers on 24.08. 2023.
Red Ribbon Club has organized “Health Awareness Programme” for all I UG students (880) on 26.09.2023  and   the resource persons were R. Marichamy, District Extension Educator, Development section of Virudhunagar Collectorate,  Thiru. Sangareswaran, District Education Officer, Thirumathi Janaki, Social worker, Child Protection Department,   Ms. K. Selvi, Case worker and M. Nandhini, Rural health care educator, Social Welfare Department of Virudhunagar.	Red Ribbon Club of our College has organized Fireless Cooking competition for 28RRC volunteers on 08.08.2023 in room A11.
Red Ribbon Club has organized a poster-making competition for 30 RRC volunteers on the topic “Awareness on AIDS” on the occasion of World AIDS Day on 05.12. 2023

Guest Lecture on the topic “Prevention is Better than Cure” on 07.03.2022 for the 42 RRC Volunteers. Recourse Person:  Mrs.M.Eswari, AIDS Positive Patient, Viswanatham.

Skill Enhancement Programme on International Women’s Day for 49 RRC students to make Fur Cloth Bags for daily use on March 8, 2022.
Resource Person: Mrs. Siva Sakthi, Proprietor, Poornima Art and Craft, Sivakasi.
