Alongside these areas, the use of cryptography today has been extended to a third , that is the whole area of the rights of the individual.The right of the individual , and above all the right to privacy , are universally perceived as a fundamental element of modern societ.In various ways across different nations, this fact has given rise to laws protecting such rights.Cryptography is closely bound up with this area , and is today the "technical approach" for implementing these rights in the context of information technology and telecommunication.
