uniqueness
Monochromatic:
Laser light consists of essentially one wavelength, having its origin in stimulated emission from one set of atomic energy levels.
Spatial Coherence:
It is degree to which a beam of light appears to have originated from a single pint in space.
Temporal coherence:
It is extent to which all the photons in a light beam are of the same frequency or wavelength.
High intensity:
The intensity of the laser beam is very high. If the person is allowed to observe the laser beam from the same distance, the entire laser beam penetrates through his eye. It will damage the eye of the observer.
Directionality:
The light is emitted by a laser only in one direction
