Leaf and closely related parts are used to propagate many common green house plants. The red begnonia may be propagated by serving some of the radial veins or vascular bundles of the leaf and placing it in top of a moist propagation medium. The served tissues are capable of regenerating both roots and shoots, with the subsequent production of new plants.
