T-Budding
A healthy green stem rootstock about 6-50 mm diameter is used. The stem should be green so that the bark can be easily detached from the wood. A T-shaped cut, first horizontal and then vertical, is made on the rootstock about 10-25 cm from the soil line. A shield-shaped patch containing a bud and slightly smaller in dimension than the T-cut is taken from the scion wood and inserted into the pocket of the T-cut and the graft is bound with grafting tape.
