This division deals with the examination of all types of fire-arms and ammunitions to connect bullets and spent cartridge cases with a particular fire-arm. It also undertakes to determine time, range and angle of firing, nature of gun shot. Some laboratories have a separate division to undertake examination of explosive cases.
