THE EQUALITY OPPORTUNITIES, PROTECTION OF RIGHTS AND FULL PARTICIPATION ACT, 1955

The act serves the purpose of according formal recognition for the need to attend to the requirements of person with various forms of disabilities. The act identifies the measures that need to be taken in the areas of identification, general awareness, and provision of opportunities for education, employment and facilities for procuring specialized equipment for disabled person.
